Team Building Training: in these activities we work on the team dynamics no more in indirect and playful way, but with awareness and thanks to specific exercises. These are the great classics of team building. In the training activities the group, leaded by a professional trainer, finds itself in conditions that are very distant from the everyday life of the office and must face exercises addressed to developing some precise capacities. We can work on confidence, communication, mutual help, leadership… all qualities and characteristics that can turn a simple group of colleagues into a tight-knit team!
The benefits of Training Team Building appear immediately, but last also in the long duration. The exercises that are part of our Training make participants reflect on their role in the company and on the capacities they employ or they can employ. Important moment for reflection are mainly that of starting briefing and final debriefing, when the group confronts itself with the trainer that observes and leads it. We can see come to surface the critical points of tension and prepare strategies to solve them.
What’s the problem that more often troubles the employees in their everyday work? We asked many people, and all of them answered: stress. It isn’t an easy problem to solve, and it must be faced and eliminated to improve the group’s performance. In fact, while a low level of stress can push an employee to work better and reach higher results, a superior level of stress can on the contrary block the work, creating an unbearable psychological situation. To prevent this escalation of stress and psychological suffering, Training Team Building activities stimulate trust, team alignment and individual assessment.
What is assessment? In psychology, this term is used to define a global evaluation of a person, his resources and hit limits. Each one of us believes to know himself, but in fact knows much less of what he thinks. He can, for example, overvalue some capacities and underestimate others, or even ignore completely to have a talent.
During the assessment process, with the help of an expert trainer, every participant should discover something more on himself and go beyond limits he used to see as insuperable. It will be good for team work, because someone who knows himself better can start learning to use his abilities to help the team. From the assessment we can start aligning the team as a whole, making clear company’s Vision and Mission and learning to direct the qualities of individuals in the group work.
And when the company’s Vision is clear and so is your contribution to reach the fixed mission, no task seems too hard. Stress fades away and the team member feels more self-assured, because now he knows his capacities and how to apply them to job. Of course, assessment can’t cancel objective conditions of stress, such as an urgent delivery or an unexpected problem. But it can help people to not feel like a stress what is instead normal office life.
Outdoor Training: it’s one of the most classic kinds of Team Building, and remains always one of the most effective. It’s a series of exercises done at the open air, in group. They involve physical and emotional sides of the participants through games where physical contact is inevitable.
Team Coaching: it’s a tool that improves the team performance. Following the coaching path, the Team moves from the vision of the single members, concentrated on individual knowledges and ways of thinking, to a global vision of how to develop the competences that will be useful for the group.
Assessment: this technique is precious to get to know better your Team’s members! A set of different situational tests ask the examined person to perform a task in an imaginary situation. Meanwhile we will measure the emotional aspects of his behavior.
Crossword: are we able to solve a crossword on the themes of our company? Of course! But we must also complete it by first, in little time and in competition with other teams. Thanks to our giant crossword, this game is really dynamic and the competition is fierce!
Orienteering Training: a map, a compass and a destination to reach. Could we orient ourselves in an unknown place under these conditions? It can be a town or a park, or even a savage and unexplored region. We will be forced to collaborate strictly and to choose a leader able to guide the team to destination. And, of course, we will have to reach it before the others!
Survival Training: an adventure in the wild nature will make appear our abilities of communication, problem solving and leadership. To orient ourselves, to light a fire, to build a bridge made of ropes: all these tasks involve the whole group, no one excluded. A day of great emotions to become a great team!
Desert Training: a truly extreme adventure to test the resistance of our body, but mostly of our mind! The desert is an inhospitable environment that exactly for this reason stimulates the team to join forces and to divide the tasks, creating an hierarchy completely different from that of the office. Useful to stimulate the leader qualities and to create communication.
Theatre: don’t worry, you won’t have to perform a Shakespeare’s play on the stage! Theatre Training is a set of exercises, taken from theatre practice of actors’ training, that will teach us to communicate with body and gesture. Just like a group of actors on a stage, a team of coworkers must understand each other at a glance to “play its part” in plausible and enthusiastic way.
Rugby: this game, that may seem violent, is instead characterized by a cast-iron respect for the rules and by enormous esteem for the opponent. To learn and accept the game’s rules is the first step to become a harmonious team, able of overtake any difficulty!
